The Simple 7 Plan with Simple Green Smoothies
Green smoothies have gone mainstream and I'm sure you've seen many of your favorite bloggers posting pictures of the surprisingly yummy-looking green stuff.
While I am definitely on the green smoothies bandwagon, I definitely have some trouble keeping up with drinking them every day. If I don't prep all of my ingredients ahead of time I never seem to find the time to blend up a smoothie for myself. When you're first starting out, it can be overwhelming figuring out which smoothies to try and how much to get of which ingredients. And if you don't plan things right, the process can take more than the few minutes it really calls for.
Well, the ladies over at Simple Green Smoothies have put together the Simple 7 plan to save the day: 7 ingredients to use in 7 smoothie recipes (one a day) that will take 7 minutes or less to make (including clean-up!). GENIUS. The Simple 7 plan comes with a guidebook, which includes your grocery list, tips for blending and your smoothie recipes. And all of these goodies are FREE. You just need a blender, a trip to the produce section and a little motivation.
After returning from the grocery store, I took about 20 minutes to prep my smoothies and place the ingredients in little ziploc bags. I stored them in the freezer and every morning, I just grab the bag for the day, pop the fruits and veggies into my blender for a couple minutes and BOOM! We're in there.
